Point Fortin Rehab Council - Working together for a better Community
The Point Fortin Rehab Council together with  the residents of the Borough are reaching out to the Ministers of Sport, Mr Anil Roberts and Works and Infrastructure Minister Jack Warner, to give this Community an explanation of why our Sporting and Recreational Facilities have been neglected for so many years while other areas of the country have been given priority over this town. This Community have always been a major economic contributor to this Nation and have   always been shortchanged.
Over the years of their existance, these facilities known as The Point Fortin Civic Centre and the Mahaica Oval
have been neglected beyond reason, and presently serves no purpose.  This town have in the past produced many national sporting heros especially in football such as Delbert Charleau, Watty Douglas, Pat Gomez, Leroy DeLeon, Warren Archibald to name a few, coaches such as Frank Hyland and Anthony Peters (dec) who not only known locally but also on the International Circuit. We also need to know why the Civic Centre rebuilding was halted, since the building is the only Community Facility for meetings and social functions. Is that asking too much, or do we deserve these facilities. We look forward to acknowledgement by you or your assistants to aleviate this situation and get our lives  back to normal. The time has come for Action not broken promises!!!
